Gillian Ramm saves the day in Gran Canaria

02 December 2009

Gillian Ramm proved that ‘the show must go on’ by rushing out to sunny Gran Canaria to join Paul McCreesh, along with mezzo-soprano Renata Pokupic, tenor Andrew Kennedy and bass Matthew Best in their performance of Messiah last week. Making her debut with the Orquesta Filarmonica de Gran Canaria and appearing for the first time for maestro McCreesh, Gillian replaced Susan Gritton as the soprano soloist. Gillian has just finished touring with Glyndebourne Touring Opera as Fiordiligi in their production of Cosi fan tutte.
