Rayfield Artists at the 2009 Edinburgh Festival
This year’s Edinburgh International Festival sees another bumper year for Rayfield Artists singers, with three taking part in various concerts and operas.
Countertenor Robin Blaze will sing Goffredo in Rinaldo, the first opera Handel produced for the London stage, with Bach Collegium Japan and conductor Masaaki Suzuki in the Usher Hall on 24 August; he will also perform solo cantatas by Bach including the sublime Vergnügte Ruh at the Greyfriars Kirk on 25 August.
Following his success at the Edinburgh International Festival last year, Matthew Brook returns this year with Dunedin Consort singing Bach Cantatas at the Greyfriars Kirk on 21 August.
Andrew Radley makes his debut at the Edinburgh International Festival in the Göttingen International Handel Festival’s new production of Handel’s Admeto on 28, 29, and 31 August in the Festival Theatre - the production was premiered in Göttingen this June.
