New Artist: conductor Emmanuel Plasson

We are delighted to announce the addition of the outstanding French conductor Emmanuel Plasson to the ever-burgeoning Rayfield Artists roster.

Emmanuel has established himself as a leading ambassador for French music throughout an outstanding international career spanning both the symphonic and operatic worlds.  First Prizewinner of the Donatella Flick International Conducting Competition in 1994, he has worked in the UK with the Philharmonia, BBC Philharmonic, RSNO, Opera North and Northern Sinfonia.  He made his US debut in 1997, touring the Royal Ballet (including a performance at the Met), and has recently conducted performances at New York City Opera and Cincinnati Opera.

Plasson has also worked with such diverse companies throughout the world as Opera Australia, Hamburg Staatsoper, Theatre du Capitole de Toulouse, Dallas Opera and the Royal Danish Opera.  He has conducted orchestras including the Tokyo Philharmonic, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Orchestre National de Bordeaux, Aarhus Symphony, Nordwestdeutschen Philharmonie and the Melbourne and West Australian Symphony Orchestras. His discography includes recordings on the EMI and Dynamic labels.
