Following their successful visit to the Theater an der Wien with the same programme, the Bolshoi Theatre is to take their Soloists, Chorus and Orchestra led by Gennady Rozhdestvensky to Avery Fisher Hall on July 12th and 13th for concert performances of Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Tsar’s Bride with casts including Svetlana Shilova, Elena Manistina, Alexander Naumenko, Vyacheslav Pochapsky, Stanislav Trofimov, Michail Gubsky and Boris Rudak.
Gennady Rozhdestvensky conducted the Bolshoi Ballet on their first visit to the US in the 1959 when the company appeared at the old Met in New York.
