Isang Enders joins Rayfield Allied for General Management
We are delighted to welcome the cellist Isang Enders for General Management.
Having been appointed as the youngest section leader at the Dresden Staatskapelle, Isang Enders has gone on to establish a dynamic international solo career. He has performed in Europe and Asia with conductors including Myung-Whun Chung, Christoph Eschenbach, Pablo Heras-Casado, Zubin Mehta and Vasily Petrenko.
As a dedicated chamber musician, he continues to work closely with the pianists Igor Levit, Kit Armstrong and Sunwook Kim.
Highlights from the current season include recitals at the Heidelberger Frühling and Rheingau Musik Festivals, together with performing Unsuk Chin’s Cello Concerto with Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo under the conductor Ilan Volkov. He recently performed Strauss’ Don Quixote with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, where French critics complimented his phrasing and technique: “Isang Enders soutient la ligne de chant avec une ferveur sincere”.
His recording of the complete Bach Cello Suites was highly acclaimed, with Gramophone writing that “his uncomplicated directness is one of the many strengths of this spotless performance”.
