It is the time of year for season announcements and the latest comes from the Lincoln Center in New York. Their 18/19 season includes exciting appearances and debuts from multiple Rayfield Allied artists.
The Navarra String Quartet are delighted to be making their US debut as part of the 'Complimentary Classical' series at the David Rubenstein Atrium on Thursday 7 February 2019. They will play a wonderful recital of Ravel's rhapsodic String Quartet in F major and Vasks' String Quartet No. 4. Listen to a live clip of the quartet playing the Ravel here.
Meanwhile, pianist Federico Colli makes his New York debut as part of the Sunday Morning Coffee Concerts series, performing a recital of Scarlatti, Mozart and Beethoven's great "Appassionata" Sonata at the Walter Reade Theater on Sunday 2 December 2018.
Finally, the Borodin Quartet will return to the Lincoln Center on Sunday 24 March 2019 as part of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center's Winter Festival. In 18/19, CMS will be exploring the theme of 'Russian Panorama': displaying the "turbulent historical landscape of Russia through its vastly expressive music". There are no musicians better suited to this theme than this legendary Russian quartet, who will deliver a programme at the Alice Tully Hall of Myaskovsky Quartet No. 13 in A minor op. 86, Shostakovich Quartet No. 13 in B-flat minor op. 138 and Borodin Quartet No. 2 in D major.
