Scott Hendricks to return to San Francisco Opera as Scarpia in Tosca

Scott Hendricks will return to San Francisco Opera in 2018 to sing Scarpia in their new production of Tosca. He has sung Scarpia Tosca at many houses across the world, including Washington National Opera; Opéra national de Paris; Bayerische Staatsoper, Munich and for his house debut at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in 2004. He has received excellent reviews for his performances as Scarpia, including:

His recent engagements include Jack Rance La Fanciulla del West (Opernhaus Zürich), Escamillo Carmen (Bregenz Festspielhaus), Sharpless Madama Butterfly (Royal Opera House, Covent Garden) and Nixon Nixon in China (Houston Grand Opera). Forthcoming engagements include Tonio I Pagliacci (La Monnaie, Brussels) and Ruprecht The Fiery Angel (Teatr Wielki, Warsaw and the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence).
