Cuarteto Quiroga have been awarded the Spanish National Music Prize 2018 in the Interpretation category. The jury has chosen to give this prestigious award to the Quartet "for being one of the most unique chamber ensembles of the new generation" and "for its involvement in the dissemination of current music, especially of Spanish creation".
This month, Cuarteto Quiroga received the Prize from His Majesty the King of Spain, Felipe VI at the Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid.
This formidable recognition of Cuarteto Quiroga’s accomplishments for the culture in their country and around the world comes just as they have launched their new Album CD ‘Und Es Ward Licht!’ exploring Haydn and Mozart with the world-renowned violist Veronika Hagen.
