Natalie Clein awarded OBE for services to music in New Years Honours List 2021

Many congratulations to Natalie Clein who has been awarded an OBE in the New Years Honours list for Services to Classical Music.

Described by the Times as 'mesmerising' and 'soaringly passionate', British cellist Natalie Clein has built a distinguished career, regularly performing at major venues and with orchestras worldwide. She came to widespread attention at the age of sixteen when she won both the BBC Young Musician of the Year, and the Eurovision Competition for Young Musicians in Warsaw.

Natalie is a Professor at the Royal College of Music London, recently completed a four year appointment as Artist-in-Residence and Director of Musical Performance at Oxford University, and in 2018 was appointed Professor of Cello at Music Academy Rostock. She is the proud founder and artistic director of Purbeck Chamber Music Festival in Dorset.
