Rory Macdonald returns to the Philharmonia and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra

Rory Macdonald returned to conduct the Philharmonia at Bold Tendencies on 20th August for Gorecki's Symphony No. 3, performed by Ella Taylor. His last engagement with the orchestra saw him conduct Sibelius' King Christian II Suite and Dance Intermezzo alongside Tchaikovksy's Piano Concerto No.1 at the Royal Festival Hall.

Rory also reappears this season with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra to conduct Sibelius' Symphony No. 4 and Brahms' Piano Concerto No. 2 at the Lammermuir Festival on 10th September. He previously performed a programme of Sibelius's Karelia Overture, Mozart's Clarinet Concerto and Vaughan Williams' Symphony No. 5 with the RSNO.
