Royal Opera House Covent Garden’s 21/22 has been announced and will include a new opera, The Blue Woman, by Laura Bowler which will premiere at the Linbury Theatre.
A co-commission between the Royal Opera House and Britten Pears Arts, The Blue Woman explores violence against women. Playwright Laura Lomas joins the project as librettist, and the production will be directed by award-winning director Katie Mitchell.

Before that Laura’s new work “temperatures aren’t what they used to be”, which focuses on issues surrounding climate change, will be premiered by the London Sinfonietta who commissioned the piece for their 20/21 season.
