The Cardinall’s Musick “on triumphant form” in York

The Cardinall’s Musick continue to wow audiences with their own dynamic brand of music-making. They have just performed as part of the York Early Music Festival in a new programme based on the lives of the Tudor monarchs. Geoff Brown of The Times certainly liked it, saying: “The Cardinall’s, in any case, could make music out of a John Prescott speech. Clear tones; perfect intonation; an ideal balance between individual colour and an ensemble blend; emotional directness: Monday night found them on triumphant form”.
