The iconic 1981 recording A Feather on the Breath of God, recorded by Gothic Voices with Emma Kirkby and Christopher Page has been chosen to represent the best of Hyperion Record’s thousands of recordings to mark the label’s three decades in the music industry.
Simon Heighes of International Record Review wrote of the reissue, “this is a classic recording which has a place in every record collection.”
This recording set the scene for the many early music recordings and groups that followed and should definitely not go unmissed by anyone who is interested in this beautiful sound-world.
