We are delighted to share that the internationally acclaimed director/designer duo Barbe & Doucet (André Barbe and Renaud Doucet) have joined Rayfield Allied for worldwide management.
Known for their maximalist theatrical style, Barbe & Doucet create productions of extraordinary imagination and emotional richness. Together they conceive operas that are opulent in design yet always rooted in character and emotion.
Their craftsmanship and theatricality is rooted in decades of collaboration: Doucet’s background as a dancer and choreographer and Barbe’s study of fine arts and design of over 300 productions for theatre, TV and opera, give their work a rare coherence between movement, visual design and atmosphere.
Their collaborations with major houses and festivals such as, the Bayreuther Festspiele, the Glyndebourne Festival, Staatsoper Hamburg, Scottish Opera and New York City Opera, to name a few, have been widely celebrated and perfectly fuse their individual talents.
