8 March 2024

The Edinburgh International Festival has announced their 2024 season, which includes performances from Barokksolistene and Bjarte Eike, Mahan Esfahani, and the Leonore Piano Trio.

The Leonore Piano Trio give their EIF debut recital at the Queen’s Hall on the 6th August, performing piano trios by Clara Schumann, Helen Grime, and Dvorak.

They also lead the Festival’s Emerging Talent scheme, mentoring five young musicians and performing a programme of chamber works side by side on the 8th August.

Bjarte Eike and Barokksolistene bring their ever popular Alehouse Sessions to Usher Hall on the 15th August, catapulting the audience back to the 17th century pubs and alehouses with their heady mix of sea shanties, dance tunes, folk ballads and music for the stage.

On the 17th August, Mahan Esfahani gives a solo recital at the Queen’s Hall, of works by JS Bach and family, Handel, and Pachelbel.
