We’re excited to announce that soprano Monika Buczkowska-Ward has joined Rayfield Allied for worldwide general management, where she will be managed by Ben Rayfield.
Monika Buczkowska-Ward is a dynamic and versatile soprano whose powerful and sparkling agility is beautifully balanced by lyrical warmth, uncovering profound emotional depth. A member of the ensemble at Oper Frankfurt since 2020, she has recently made role debuts including as Handel’s Alcina, Oksana in Rimsky-Korsakov’s Die Nacht vor Weihnachten, and Madeleine/Madame de Latour in Le Postillon de Lonjumeau. This season she returns to Oper Frankfurt as Sifare in Mitridate, re di Ponto and Bellezza in Il trionfo del tempo e del disinganno.
She has appeared at houses across Europe including Staatsoper Hannover, Opéra national du Rhin, Polish National Opera, and Polish Royal Opera, with a repertoire spanning Handel, Mozart, Britten, and Puccini. Other operatic roles include Eudoxie (La Juive), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Livia (L’italiana in Londra), Lady Durham (Martha), and Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro).
She was a finalist at the 10th International Stanisław Moniuszko Vocal Competition, receiving the Marta Eggerth and Jan Kiepura Prize, and has been recognised by the Ada Sari Festival and the Canticum Gaudium Early Music Competition.
