Composer Alex Paxton wins a 'Franco Abbiati' Music Critics Award

Composer Alex Paxton has won the 'New in Italy' award as part of the 45th edition of the 'Franco Abbiati' Music Critics Awards for his piece 'Spit Crystal Yeast-rack, dripping', which was performed in Padova last October as part of Barco Teatro's Scatola Sonora music series.

The jury, composed of the board of directors of the Associazione Nazionale dei Critici Musicali (National Association of Music Critics) and seven critics elected by the members of the ANCM, decreed the winners, choosing from productions, concerts and initiatives held in Italian theaters and concert halls over the course of 2025.
