We are delighted to welcome British/Irish soprano Jane Burnell to the roster.
Praised for her “effortless, vivacious singing” and “deep musicality”, Jane joins the Opera Studio of the Royal Swedish Opera for the 2026/27 and 2027/28 seasons, following her Master of Music in Vocal and Opera Studies at the Royal Northern College of Music, where she studied with Linda Richardson. She is a prize winner at both the Eastbourne International Singing Competition (First Prize, 2025) and the International Handel Singing Competition (Second Prize and Audience Prize, 2026).
Recent highlights include engagements with Wexford Festival Opera as a Wexford Factory Artist, performing Contessa di Folleville (Il viaggio a Reims) and Tytania (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), and her debut with Nederlandse Reisopera in the world premiere of Elena Langer’s To Die For [A Comedy].
A regular concert soloist, Jane has performed extensively across the UK in repertoire including Exsultate jubilate, Messiah, St Matthew Passion and the B Minor Mass, and appears frequently in recital and outreach work alongside her operatic career.
Jane will be managed worldwide by Keiron Cooke.
