The Tallis Scholars join Rayfield Allied

14 September 2026

Rayfield Allied is delighted to announce the signing of The Tallis Scholars for worldwide general management.

The Tallis Scholars were founded in 1973 by their director, Peter Phillips, and ever since have been at the pinnacle of Renaissance sacred music performance. Described as 'the rockstars of Renaissance choral music' (The New York Times) and 'one of the UK's great cultural exports' (BBC Radio 3), the Tallis Scholars celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2023 and have now performed nearly 3000 concerts.

The Tallis Scholars' recordings have attracted widespread critical acclaim. They received their most recent Gramophone Early Music Award and the BBC Music Magazine Recording of the Year in 2021 for a recording of Josquin's Missa Hercules Dux Ferrarie, the last of a nine-album project to record and release all of the composers' masses. 2026 also sees the release of their first recording on Linn Records of music written for the group by Nico Muhly.

2026/27 season highlights include tours to the USA, South America, China, and South Korea as well as returns to the most prestigious concert venues and festivals all around the UK and Europe.

The Tallis Scholars are managed worldwide by Ben Rayfield.
