Tom Fetherstonhaugh makes London Philharmonic Orchestra debut

20 October 2026

Tom Fetherstonhaugh made his debut with the London Philharmonic Orchestra on Sunday 18 October, conducting the opening concert of its 2026/27 season at Eastbourne’s Congress Theatre.

Tom was joined by violinist Ning Feng as soloist in Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto. Their performance formed the centrepiece of a programme that also included Glinka’s overture to Ruslan and Lyudmila and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade.

The engagement marks a season of significant orchestral debuts for Tom, who also makes his debut with the Philharmonia Orchestra in 2026/27. Alongside these appearances, he returns to Britten Sinfonia, Welsh National Opera and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, and continues his work as Artistic Director of Fantasia Orchestra.
