  • Mikheil Kiria was born in Zugdidi, Western Georgia in 1986. Since 2006 he has been a BA student at the Academic Singing Faculty of Tbilisi State Conservatoire.

    He studies with the celebrated Georgian opera singer David Andghuladze, People’s Artist of the USSR and has won prizes at the Young Music performer’s Competition and the Lado Ataneli International Charity Foundation ‘Tanadgoma’ Vocal Competition 2010.

    In Georgia he has given concerts dedicated to Zurab Sotkilava and David Andghuladze, participated in all the most important recitals at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire, the New Year Music Celebration (2009) at the XII International Festival at the Great Hall of the Tbilisi Conservatoire and in the ‘Unveil a Star’ Nodar Andghuladze Concert of 2009.

    He has also been awarded a Scholarship by the Paata Burchuladze ‘Iavnana’ International Charity Foundation.

    His stage debut at the Conservatoire took place as Giorgio Germont in La traviata in 2010.

    In 2011 he was one of 8 singers to be selected from 118 finalists for post-graduate study at the Accedemia della Scala, Milan which he will attend on graduating from the Tbilisi Conservatoire.
