Irish baritone Seán Boylan is a recent graduate of the Opera Course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where he studied with Robert Dean. As a member of the Alvarez Young Artist Programme at Garsington Opera in 2019 he covered the title role of Don Giovanni, for which he was awarded the Helen Clark Award by Garsington Opera.
In the 2020-21 season he makes his role debut in the title role of Don Giovanni (Nevill Holt Opera). He also performs in concert for Irish National Opera with mezzo-soprano Paula Murrihy.
In the 2019-20 season he covered the roles of Pluto and Aristaeus Orpheus in the Underworld (English National Opera) and Demetrius A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Scottish Opera). He also appeared at soloist in concert performances of Handel’s Messiah (Nevill Holt Opera) and Bach’s Christmas Oratorio (Deutscher Chor London).
