Christina Gansch receives Royal Academy of Music Fellowship

We are delighted to announce that the Royal Academy of Music has welcomed soprano Christina Gansch as a Fellow, an honour reserved for alumni who have displayed excellence in their field.

A former winner of the prestigious Kathleen Ferrier Award, Christina has appeared at many of the world’s leading stages, including the Salzburg, Edinburgh and Glyndebourne Festivals; the Teatro alla Scala, Royal Ballet and Opera, Opéra national de Paris, Dresden Semperoper, Bayerische Staatsoper and San Francisco Opera.

In the 2025/26 season, Christina makes her house debuts at the Royal Swedish Opera as Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), the Opernhaus Zürich as Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), and at the Tiroler Festspiele, Erl as Sister Genovieffa in Deborah Warner's new production of Suor Angelica. On the concert stage she sings Mozart’s Requiem with the Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich and Andreas Ottensamer in performances recorded for Deutsche Grammophon.

Forthcoming engagements include debuts as Fiordiligi in staged performances of Così fan tutte with Royal Northern Sinfonia and Dinis Sousa, Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream for the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and Donna Elvira in a new production of Don Giovanni for the Opernhaus Zurich.
