Rayfield Allied is delighted to welcome stage director Ruth Knight to its roster for worldwide general management.
Ruth has earned a reputation as a shrewd but imaginative director, who consistently strikes a balance between clear storytelling and dramatic insight.
Recent credits include Rodelinda for Garsington Opera, Gloriana for the English National Opera and La bohème for the Waterperry Opera Festival. She has also directed acclaimed semi-staged concert performances of Così fan tutte for the English National Opera, Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk for the BBC Proms and Rigoletto for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
This season sees her make her debut with Scottish Opera directing a new production of Fidelio.
Ruth is the Artistic Director of Outland Opera, a small grassroots company making site-specific work in underserved parts of the South West. She fervently believes in the importance of work that is grounded in community.
