19 April 2018

American soprano Francesca Chiejina will participate in masterclasses with mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato this weekend at Carnegie Hall, New York. They will be broadcast live by medici.tv. Francesca is one of only four singers selected to take part in this series of masterclasses.

Francesca has been praised for her “gorgeously warm and fluently produced soprano” (Daily Telegraph). She is currently a member of the Jette Parker Young Artist Programme at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, where her roles have included Lady in Waiting Macbeth, Micaela La tragédie de Carmen and Melantho The Return of Ulysses. She recently made her Canadian debut as Serena Porgy and Bess (Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal) and will soon make her role debut as Clara Porgy and Bess.
