English National Opera has announced its 2023/2024 season, staring four Rayfield Allied artists.
Peter Grimes / 21 September – 11 October 2023
Gwyn Hughes Jones returns to English National Opera singing the title role of Peter Grimes for the first time. The production is conducted by Martyn Brabbins and directed by David Alden.
Iolanthe / 5 October – 25 October 2023
Ben McAteer plays the role of Earl Mountararat in Cal McCrystal’s production of Iolanthe.
The Magic Flute / 28 February – 30 March 2024
Baritone David Stout will appear as Papageno in Simon McBurney’s five-star production of The Magic Flute, and soprano Alexandra Oomens (ENO Harewood Artist) will be performing as Papagena. She will also be performing the role of Pamina in their relaxed performance of the same show.
