Renowned cellist Pieter Wispelwey returns to China with a tour devoted entirely to Johann Sebastian Bach’s Cello Suites. Celebrated for his deeply expressive musicianship and his mastery of both modern and period instruments, Wispelwey presents all six of Bach’s monumental suites across two recitals, offering audiences a rare opportunity to experience one of the most profound works in the solo string repertoire.
The tour opens in Shanghai, with two evenings at the Cadillac Shanghai Concert Hall on 15 and 16 January 2026, before continuing to Guangzhou for two performances at the Guangzhou Opera House on 18 January 2026.
