Rayfield Allied Artists at the 2026 Oxford International Song Festival

For the 25th anniversary year, the Oxford International Song Festival explores the highs, lows and complications of love in its many and varied forms. It features several Rayfield Allied artists:

Stephan Loges presents a lunchtime recital with a programme of Mendelssohn and Schumann, named 'A Wedding gift' with Harriet Burns on 9 October.

Dame Sarah Connolly opens the Festival with a programme include works by Mendelssohn, Debussy and Errolyn Warren on 9 October. Dame Sarah also discusses her life and musicmaking in the Song Sofa event on 10 October.

Robin Tritschler performs a programme of Britten and Lennox Berkeley that reflects some of the key relationships in Britten’s life and music on 11 October.

Carolyn Sampson explores the full of extreme emotions of love, from passion to desire to despair, in the programme 'Reason in Madness' on 11 October.

James Way imagines an evening at the Red House, home of Benjamin Britten and Peter Pears to present a programme that's originally created for the Aldeburgh Festival with Lotte Betts-Dean on 14 October. Programme includes music by their friends Joyce Grenfell, Gustav and Imogen Holst, Ernest Moeran and others.

Anna Dennis presents the world premiere of Can Bilir's The Silent Songs of Josefine, a new song cycle based on Kafka on 14 October.

Helen Charlston performs Schubert's Die schöne Müllerin on 18 October.
