Portraits of Harrison Birtwistle and Daniel Kidane raise money for AT The Bus arts charity

3 February 2021

Composers Daniel Kidane and Harrison Birtwistle are featured artists in 'MASKED', posing in masks for a photo series of portraits to help raise funds for AT The Bus.

The portraits were taken by photographer Joanna Vestey from a 2 metre distance on film in natural light using a Hasselblad 500c/m, and Kidane and Birtwistle appear alongside 24 leading arts, education, communications and law professionals, including Baroness Valerie Amos, Dame Zandra Rhodes, Grayson Perry and Phillip Pullman.

Aiming to raise £150,000 profits from the MASKED limited-edition prints will go towards the vital work of AT The Bus, a charity delivering a school-based programme of art as therapy to support the education, health and wellbeing of young people aged 7-18 in Oxfordshire and London. Sessions take place during the school day in a purpose-designed therapeutic studio space in a double-decker bus located in school grounds.

Each image is available as an unframed signed 28 x 34 cm print, printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm. Each image is a limited edition of 50.

You can view the photos at the AT The Bus website here.
