The founding father of mimimalism has been awarded an honorary doctorate from the Royal College of Music. The award was bestowed upon him by HRH The Prince of Wales, alongside Vladimir Jurowski and Sir Roger Norrington.
The composer was in residence at the institution, where he gave a masterclass to RCM composers and saw the RCM New Perspectives Ensemble perform some of his most seminal works.
