Laurence Cummings has had great critical acclaim for his conducting of Scottish Chamber Orchestra for Gluck's Orpheus and Eurydice at Edinburgh International Festival. The European premiere of the Opera Queensland production with new staging for The Playhouse by Yaron Lifschitz’s includes 11 acrobats from the Brisbane-based Circa company.
