Of One Blood is a new opera by composer Brett Dean, with a libretto by Heather Betts exploring the tensions between Mary Stuart, Elizabeth, Tudor based on the original letters penned by the two queens themselves, and other 16th century sources. Sunday's premiere at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich is directed by Claus Guth and conducted by General Music Director Vladimir Jurowski.
